We talked to a group of Solitude members including a small business owner, surgical patient and crossfit trainer who shared the benefits they’ve experienced from frequent float therapy.
A Powerful Mechanism for Coping with Physical Pain
“Looking back, I realize that the constant underlying joint and tissue pain was making me tense and irritable,” notes Christie Minervini, owner of the Sanctuary Handcrafted Goods retail shop in the Commons of Traverse City, “I'm sleeping better now and my nerves are less frayed.”
Crossfit Trainer Megan Ward has been floating every week for over a year. She credits her consistent practice to improved overall physical health, “It has been great for me physically. I have a torn labrum in my hip and get a lot of aches and pains from it. My body feels rejuvenated after floating.”
